We offer baseball lessons in hitting, fielding (infield & outfield), pitching & catching.

Our trainers not only are here to teach the art of baseball but to instill real-life skills in our young athletes. Our baseball trainers are equipped with coaching and playing experience at all levels.

Coach matt

Coach Matt started REZ Sports with a vision of youth sports training being refocused on the athlete instead of the organization. He found his purpose by using his experience of 14 years playing baseball and 18 years coaching/training baseball and softball athletes. In 2021, he decided it was time to bring together other passionate coaches and trainers to benefit youth athletes.

Coach Matt uses his experience to create custom training sessions that encompasses skills, strength, and the ability to make in-game adjustments as needed. During training, he believes in teaching techniques that will not only help young athletes in their sport, but also through the rest of their lives.

Coach mike

REZ Baseball Director

Coach Mike has been around softball and baseball for over 40 years. He played travel ball, was a 3 year offensive player of the year and 1 year defensive player of the year in 6A high school. He continued to advance as he played through college and then 3 years in the minor leagues and 3 year in independent league baseball. After his professional career, he coached travel & select ball for 12 years leading to 3 national championships. He’s coached 4 years of travel softball, 3 years of high school baseball, 4 years of high school softball and was a softball college recruit for 4 years as well.

He is still in contact with former players, as he is now coaching their kids!

Coach Mike’s goal with REZ Sports is to see your athletes grow and mature not only in the sport, but in life as well. He’s here to make sure they achieve their goals and make it to the next level.

Coach max

Hitting•Pitching•Fielding

Coach Max began playing baseball at the age of 3. Max, a native of Richardson, TX, played baseball from tee-ball all the way through college. He was a 2-year letterman at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, TX and was named to the 2019 TAPPS First Team All District team as a First Baseman and Pitcher. His senior year, he was awarded the Bishop Lynch Baseball Program’s Cy Young award. Following high school, he was a 4 year letterman and starting pitcher at Austin College in Sherman, TX.

At the tail-end of his playing career, he became an assistant coach for 4 different select programs, coaching players from the ages of 13 to 17. He coached 5 players who are now playing within various divisions of college baseball. Following graduation in the summer of 2023, Max was named a head coach in the Metro Scout Collegiate League located in Fort Worth, TX.

Since the summer of 2022, Coach Max has worked with athletes in pitching, hitting, and fielding to train athletes to compete and excel at their current level and beyond. Max joined REZ in the winter of 2024 to help spread the love of the game to the Seven Points area, which is his biggest passion.

Coach Max values his faith and relationship with God as his center point in life and aims to help players grow to be elite athletes on the field and grow in their faith with God and character off the field.

Coach Jossi

Hitting•Catching•Fielding

Coach Jossi grew up playing select ball in Chicago, IL where she’d eventually become a 4 year varsity athlete, earning All-Conference Catcher 3 of those years. After fulfilling her 4 year scholarship to play softball in college, she played 2 seasons of Women’s baseball with the Rockford Peaches before moving to Texas.

Jossi still remains competitively active but is much more committed and enthusiastic about passing her knowledge onto the next generation of athletes. Her goal during her sessions is to help her athletes grow in their sport, but more importantly, learn valuable techniques to help them grow in life and their faith in God as well!

Coach NICK

Hitting•Fielding

Coach Nick started playing baseball at the age of 3 and joined his first travel team at the age of 6. He played for the same team until he was 18 years old.

While playing, he was selected for 1st team NJBLA along with being selected as MidWest team for NLWS 2 years in a row. During his high school career, he was invited to several showcases for the Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, KC Royals, and the Chicago White Sox.

After high school, he went on to play 1 year of single A baseball, 1 year independent league.

Coach Nick brings his experiences to his training sessions to help grow REZ athletes in their faith, on the field and life.

Coach Tyler

Hitting•Pitching•Fielding

Coach Tyler is one of Mabank’s finest Baseball graduates.

He was nominated two-time all district along with being awarded the Panther Heart twice.
